Hii my beauties 💋 💋 !!
Today is all about makeup sanitization.
Makeup sanitization is something that many people look away from and don’t give as much importance as they should, and on today’s post I will share why and how to do it, so let’s get into it!
WHY SANITIZE MAKEUP?
Makeup sanitization is very important, and you should do it for two reasons, for hygienic purposes, of course, and increase the lifespan of your makeup or to give it away to your friend of family (you never want to give unsanitized makeup, it may cause skin irritation).
HOW TO SANITIZE MAKEUP?
Your makeup sanitization starts by regularly washing makeup tools such as makeup brushes and sponges. Using dirty tools will deposit bacteria on you makeup and make it go bad faster, and we don’t want that.
So, for makeup tools I recommend washing the sponges every single time after you have finished using it, just so dirt doesn’t penetrate the sponge, and wash the makeup brushes at least once a week.
For makeup, you should regularly (at least once every two weeks) wipe the edges, lids, pumps of the makeup containers, so the bacteria doesn’t grow and contaminate the product itself. And on pan products, if you start seeing a hard layer forming on top, just scrub it off and spray some rubbing alcohol to disinfect the product, and it will be as good as new.
For lipsticks, if you see that it’s going weird, you should wipe off the topmost layer with a tissue and dip the lipstick in rubbing alcohol for about 25-35 seconds, this will disinfect the lipstick instantaneously, then just let it dry and it’s completely disinfected.
And doing this you will not only reduce the chances of skin irritation, but this will also help increase the lifespan of your makeup product.
I do this regularly and so should you.
