Girl Empowerment

Food for Thought

Hii my beauties πŸ’‹Β Β  !!

Today’s post is another food for thought and it’s about girl empowerment. This is a vey special topic for me, being a girl I have seen and been a victim of girl shaming and bashing. And to be honest it is disgusting, repulsing and frankly tiring.

Only girls can understand what another girl goes through, because we know how hard it is, for us girls, to make it out there and be recognized for what we do. And because we know that, I believe we should support each other, we should make our lives easier and not hard.

Lately I’ve seen so many campaigns on promoting girl on girl love, and nothing makes me happier than seeing so much work to campaigns like those. And there is one that is really special to me, it’s the #GirlLove campaign by Lilly Singh aka iiSuperwomanii.

So, I think it’s time we change our attitude towards girls, we should start celebrating each other. We should empower each other. We should support each other and LET’S STOP THE HATE!

It’s not a competition, we are all different, we all have different qualities, specialties, approach and we are perfect in our own different way. And we should celebrate that, because it will not only help us feel better but it will also be an example to the coming generations. Everyone can and should succeed doing what they want and love and there is space for everyone in this world.

So please, let’s take this step towards a world with girl on girl support and love. It will make this place better and our journey enjoyable.

So, let’s help each other out. Compliment one another. Help one another out. Help each other out and SPREAD SOME #GIRLLOVE!!

  1. Love! It’s a shame girls can be competitive. I think from a young age though, girls more than guys are analysed. There’s always the pretty one or the smart one; the one that has the best fashion. Hopefully more women can realise they are stronger when they support each other. xx
